Hello! I am a counselor and licensed social worker who has a passion for serving children and families. I grew up in Nashville, TN, but lived overseas in high school and have lived in Spain since 2019. I have Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work and have experience counseling children, teens, and families experiencing a variety of life challenges and transitions.
As a former TCK (Third Culture Kid), I understand the specific and unique challenges that children and teens face when living outside of their “home culture.” I also know that finding support can be a major difficulty for families living overseas. Professional counseling from someone who understands these specific challenges is vital. I believe in giving children a safe space to talk about and explore their emotions, as well as providing helpful tools and coping skills for making Third Culture life work well.
I am located in the Malaga area, and I provide in-person counseling as well as online counseling through secure Zoom or Skype calls.
Individual Counseling: I offer a unique perspective in counseling for “Third Culture” children and teens and provide support during transitions. I also counsel teenagers facing a variety of challenges including: depression and anxiety, substance abuse, self-harm and suicidal ideation, family changes, identity issues, and interpersonal conflicts.
Family Counseling: Apart from individual counseling, I provide family counseling, as well as family sessions upon request for clients who already receive individual counseling. I am also available for parent consultations upon request.
